The Gardens of the Taj Mahal
The gardens of the Taj Mahal are very meaningful. They have a heavy Persian influence - Persians thought gardens were like paradise, partly because of how gardens are portrayed in the Koran. Shah Jahan was obsessed with symmetry, which you can observe just by looking at the gardens.
Muslims see 4 as a holy number, which is why the gardens are divided into four major fields. The stone walkways divide them into the four quadrants.
